Given:

The two points are P (-1,0) and S (-1,7).

To find:

Whether the line PS is vertical, horizontal or neither.

Solution:

We have, two points P (-1,0) and S (-1,7).

Slope of the line PS is:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

m=(7-0)/(-1-(-1))

m=(7)/(0)

m=\infty

We know that the slope of a vertical line is
\infty.

Since the slope of the line PS is
\infty, therefore PS is a vertical line.
