Explanation:

Go through them one by one. The side lengths of a triangle should all plug in to the formula a^2 + b^2 = c^2. The longest side is always c because it is the hypotenuse. The other two sides are interchangeable.

8^2+ 14^2 should equal 17^2.

That simplifies to

64+196=289

That can't be true because the units digits add to 10 instead of 9.

The same method applies to 3, 5, and 6 but from experience I know that this already isn't an option.

For 50, 48, and 14, you can divide everything by 2, resulting in 25, 24, and 7.

576+49 should equal 625.

That is true.

For 53, 48, and 24

576+2304 should equal 2809.

That isn't true, it equals 2880.
