The hypotenuse of a right triangle measures 15 cm and one of its legs measures 8 cm.

Find the measure of the other leg. If necessary, round to the nearest tenth.

Use Pythagorean theorem
a^2 + b^2 = c^2
C = hypothenuse
8^2 + b^2 = 15^2
64 + b^2 = 225
b^2 = 161
b = square root 161 = 12.68

Solution: 12.7 cm
