In a 30 · 60 · 90 triangle, the smallest side is x, the hypotenuse is 2x and the longer leg is x√3. So, in our 30 · 60 · 90, we have the hypotenuse is 6, so 6 ÷ 2 = 3 to give us the smallest leg (in this case is y), so y = 3. Because the longer leg is √3 · the smallest leg, 3√3 is the longest leg.

x = 3√3

y = 3
