5) 3b(a+c)

6) 6a(x−2y)

7) 6a(a−2)

8) 7x(x−4)

9) 5x(3x+5y)

Explanation:

6x+18y

you find what goes into that number

for example 6 goes into 18, 3 times

so you can keep the 6

next you put the x and plus stays the same

as we said before 6 goes into 18, 3 times so we put the 3 and y next

so this is the equation

6(x+3y)

6 times x = 6x

6 times 3 = 18

y and plus stay the same

brackets shows that your timesing the numbers
