John says that this means the area of square B is twice the area of square A.

Area of square A= ²

Area of square B = ?

let the length of square A = x

Area of square A =x²

then the length of square B = 2x

Area of square B =2x²

x²means area of square A

so Area of square B =2 times area of squarf A
