In today's society thre is much more violence than there used to be, so with the kids knowing the basics they can protect themselves. If we had self defence classes in school I feel like the studetns would use it on the other students. PE classes should also give the basic understanding for self defense, if one of the students get hurt the school would be liable for it. Self defense classes would make the students at more risk of getting hurt.
