Answer:

177.475
inches^(2)

Explanation:

Since the formula for finding the area of a full circle is A = π
r^(2), area equals pi times radius squared, we fill out the formula and solve.

A: unknown

Pi: 3.14

Radius: diameter is 12, so you divide it by 2, which is 6.

A = 3.14 x 6 squared.

using pemdas, you do exponents first,

A = 3.14 x 36

A ≈ 113.04

Now that we have the area for the full circle, we divide it by two to find the area of the semicircle,

113.04/2

= 56.52

So, the area of the semicircle is 56.52
inches^(2)

This is my 3rd answer as a helper, I hope it helped!

Answer:

56.52

Explanation:

This is because in order to find an area of a circle you must do R^2*3.14 and since it is a semicircle add /2 so R^2*3.14/2 and since half of 12 is 6, 6*6 is 36 and 36*3.14 is 113.04 and divide that by 2 which is 56.52
