What is the equation of the line that passes through the point (2,-4) and has a

Answer:

y = 2x - 8

Explanation:

Point(2 , -4) ; slope = 2

Point- slope form:

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y - [-4] = 2(x - 2)

y + 4 = 2x - 2*2

y + 4 = 2x - 4

y= 2x - 4 - 4

y = 2x - 8
