The coordinates of point are (7, 4). Point is a reflection of point across the x-axis. In which quadrant will point W be located

Answer:

The reflected point will be on the 4th qudrant.

Explanation:

So, lets remember what each qudrant is. The first one is (+, +).

The secodn one is (+, -)

The third one is (-,+)

And the fourth one is (-,-)

So looking at this, we instantly know that the orginal point is on qudrant 1. Since our number is +7, +4.

Now we have to flip around the x axis. Well, to the left of the quadrant 1 is qudrant 2. To the bottom of qudrant 1 is qudrant 4. We clearly cannot go to the top or right since there arent any more quadrants, and the qudrant 3 is not accesable with our x and y values.

Remember. we arent going left, since that would be crossing the y axis. This means we have to go down, to the bottom.

What is below qudrrant 1? As I said above, that would be quadrant 4.
