Shape 1 : So lets break this into 3 different shapes 2 triangle and 1 rectangle. trangle number one is 3x6÷2=9 since both the trangles are the same its 9+9=18. The rectangle is 3x6 which is 18 18+18=36

Shape 2: Lets break it up the same way we did to shape 1, first triangle is 3x5÷2 which is 7.5 since both triangle is the same its 7.5+7.5=15. The ractangle is 3x1 which is 3 so 15+3=18
