Answer is 3x because u do 12-9 which gets three and since it was originally 12x and you don’t know what X is you just put the x on the 3 and get 3x

The value of angle
\( X \) is \( 84^\circ \),and the value of
\( x \) is \( 7.75 \).

In a kite, adjacent angles are supplementary (they add up to 180 degrees) because a kite has two distinct pairs of adjacent congruent sides.

Given the kite XYZW , with the angles marked as:

- Angle \( X = (12x - 9)^\circ \)

- Angle \( Y = 96^\circ \)

- Angle \( Z = (17x + 3)^\circ \)

Since X and Y are adjacent, they are supplementary. Therefore:

\[ (12x - 9) + 96 = 180 \]

Now, let's solve for x :

\[ 12x - 9 + 96 = 180 \]

\[ 12x + 87 = 180 \]

\[ 12x = 180 - 87 \]

\[ 12x = 93 \]

\[ x = (93)/(12) \]

\[ x = 7.75 \]

So,
\( x = 7.75 \). Now, we can calculate the angle X using the value of x :

\[ X = 12(7.75) - 9 \]

\[ X = 93 - 9 \]

\[ X = 84^\circ \]
