The chord- chord angle x is half the sum of the arcs intercepted by the angle and its vertical angle, that is


(1)/(2) (y + z) = 83 ( multiply both sides by 2 to clear the fraction )

y + z = 166

y + 14 = 166 ( subtract 14 from both sides )

y = 152
