Answer: C. They are similar by the SSS rule

Explanation:

There are three ways to prove triangle similar

  1. AA similar theorem--Two corresponding angles in two triangles are the congruent
  2. SAS similar theorem--Two corresponding pairs of sides of two triangles are proportional, and the angle in between two sides are congruent
  3. SSS similar theorem--All corresponding sides of two triangles are proportional

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here, we see in the figures, the side lengths are given, and there are no angles. So, supposedly, we are going to use SSS similar theorem.

Solve

MN corresponds to UV

ML corresponds to UT

LN corresponds to TV

MN/UV=24/8=3

ML/UT=33/11=3

LN/TV=42/14=3

∴MN/UV=ML/UT=LN/TV

∴They are similar

Hope this helps!! :)
