After arranging the terms, it can be written as:


P(x)=x^2-(1)/(2)x-7

On comparing this polynomial with
ax^2+bx+c, we get


a=1,b=-(1)/(2),c=-7

Therefore, the standard form of the given polynomial is
x^2-(1)/(2)x-7 and the required values are
a=1,b=-(1)/(2),c=-7.
