Question : -

Find the area and the circumference of a circle with diameter 8 m .

Given : -

  • Diameter of circle = 8 m

To Find : -

  • Area of circle

  • Circumference of circle

Formula Used :

1)

\pink{\boxed{ \sf{Area \: of \: circle = \pi r {}^(2) }}}

2)

\pink{\boxed{\sf{Circumference of circle = 2\pi r}}}

So Starting Our Solution :

We know that radius of circle is always halves of its diameter . So radius of circle :

  • 8/2

  • 4 m

1) Finding area :

  • πr²

  • 3.14 × 4 × 4

  • 3.14 × 16

  • 50.24

Therefore, area of circle is 50.24 .

2) Finding circumference :

  • 2πr

  • 2 × 3.14 × 4

  • 6.28 × 4

  • 25.12 m

Therefore, circumference of circle is 25.02 m
