Answer:

See attachment for graph

Explanation:

Given

m = -(1)/(2)

(x_1,y_1) = (-1,2)

Required

Graph the line

First, is to determine the equation of the line using:

m = (y - y_1)/(x - x_1)

So:

-(1)/(2) = (y - 2)/(x - -1)

-(1)/(2) = (y - 2)/(x +1)

(-1)/(2) = (y - 2)/(x +1)

Cross multiply:

(y -2) * 2 = -1 * (x + 1)

(y -2) * 2 = -x -1

Solve for y - 2

y -2 = -(x)/(2) -(1)/(2)

Solve for y

y = -(x)/(2) -(1)/(2) + 2

y = -(x)/(2) +(-1+4)/(2)

y = -(x)/(2) +(3)/(2)

The above equation will then be plotted on the graph (See attachment)
