The answer is 1/6 because there are 6 sides the denominator and only one 3 the numerator

The probability is 1/6
because there are a total of 6 numbers you could get in one roll, that goes on the bottom of the fraction.
there is only one “3” on a die so you can only possibly roll a three 1/6 of the time.
