The area (A) of a trapezoid is calculated as

A =
(1)/(2) h (b₁ + b₂ )

h is the perpendicular height and b₁ , b₂ the parallel bases

Here A = 180.5 , h = x , b₁ = 13 and b₂ = 6 , then


(1)/(2) x (13 + 6) = 180.5 ( multiply both sides by 2 to clear the fraction )

x × 19 = 361 ( divide both sides by 19 )

x = 19
