x^(4) - 8x - 11 ← substitute x = 3, x = - 4 into f(x)

f(3) =
3^(4) - 8(3) - 11 = 81 - 24 - 11 = 81 - 35 = 46

f(- 4) =
(-4)^(4) - 8(- 4) - 11 = 256 + 32 - 11 = 288 - 11 = 277
