1. Litter. Nobody wants to walk around a place infiltrated with garbage.
2. Loitering. Loitering is not really a good trait to have, as it can intimidate people and ward off good people.
3. Run-down places. If a place is run down, nobody will want to go there. It's very dangerous.
4. High crime rates. It's dangerous as well, and will ward off good people, like loitering.
5. Minimal public transportation. People have places to be, and by forcing them to walk, instead of ride, you're inconveniencing them.
