The difference of the means is 2 times the MAD

Explanation:

Mean of data set A = 42

Mean of data set B = 47

MAD of both data sets = 2.5

Difference of their means = 47 - 42 = 5

Thus, the difference of their means = 2 × the MAD

= 2 × 2.5 = 5
