If your primary goal was to increase flexibility would this workout be a good example of the Principle of Specificity? Why or why not?

You have to stretch and do some yoga once in a while and go to the gym and work on some flexible exercises like the hamstring stretch, standing calf Stretch, back stretch and the butterfly Groin Stretch. Those are some of things that should help.
