x= -1
Explanation:
-x+2= y =2x+5
-x+2=2x+5 /+x
2=3x+5 /-5
-3=3x
x= -1

Use substitution
-x + 2 = 2x + 5
2 = 3x + 5
-3 = 3x, x = -1
Plug into any equation to find y
y = -(-1) + 2
y = 1 + 2 = 3
Solution: x = -1, y = 3
