volume = height × length × width

(depth and height have the same meaning)

volume = 30 × 30 × 60

volume = 54000 cm³

1 liter = 1 dm³

54000 cm³ = 54000÷ 1000

(why divided by 1000 not 10? because its cm³ which means cm × cm × cm => 10 × 10 × 10)

54000 cm³ = 54 dm³

then

54 dm³ = 54 liters
