Answer:

soln

A=(9,j)

x1=9,y1=j

B=(10,4)

x2=10,y2=4

slope=1

by using the fomulaof slope,

slope=y2-y1/x2-x1

1 =4-j/10-9

1 = 4-j/1

1=4-j

j=4-1

j=3

Answer:

j = 3

Explanation:

(9 , j) ;
x_(1)= 9 and
y_(1) = j

(10, 4) ;
x_(2) = 10 and
y_(2) = 4\\\\

Slope = (y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1))\\\\ (4 - j)/(10-9) = 1\\\\(4 - j)/(1)=1

4 - j = 1 {Subtract 4 from both sides}

-j = 1 -4

-j = -3 {Multiply both sides by (-1) }

j = 3
