Answer:

total length of fencing: 110 feet

Find the perimeter of one garden:

\sf 2 ( length + width )

\sf 2 ( 9(1)/(4) + 4(1)/(2) )

\sf 2 ( (37)/(4) + (9)/(2) )

\sf 2 ( (37)/(4) + (18)/(4) )

\sf 2 ( (37+18)/(4) )

\sf 2 ( (55)/(4) )

\sf ( (55)/(2) )

\sf 27.5 \ feet

Then 4 rectangular gardens:

\sf 4 (27.5) \ feet

\sf 110 \ feet
