Hope it’s correct and it helps :)
You always need to divide the shapes into a shape that can be calculated with one of the formulas written above.
1. Here you need to divide the shape into two rectangles to be able to calculate the area easier.
For example here you would have one rectangle with the area of 5m • 6m = 30m^2
And one rectangle with the area of 11m • 3m = 33m^2
Now add the two areas togther
= 63m^2
2. Here you can divide the shape into one rectangle and one trapezoid.
Rectangle : 2m • 10m = 20m^2
Trapezoid: 1/2 • 10m(4m + 10m) = 5m•(14m) = 70m^2
Add them together : 20m^2 + 70m^2 = 90m^2
3. I’m not sure what area is meant in this question...
4. Divide into one rectangle and a circle which has to be halved since it's just a half circle.
Rectangle : 4m • 6m = 24m^2
Circle : r = 2m (half of the height) and pi is 3.14
3.14 • (2m)^2 = 12.56m^2 (whole circle)
Divide through 2 gives an area of 6.28m^2
Add both together : 24m^2 + 6.28m^2 = 30.28m^2
