Why is fluorine more chemically reactive than
nitrogen?

Answer:

Nitrogen has Electronic configuration 1s2 2s2 2p3. Fluorine has Electronic configuration 1s2 2s2 2p5 i.e. nitrogen has half filled p subshell that makes it more stable than fluorine and fluorine requires only 1 electron to complete it's octet to get stable..Therefore Fluorine is more reactive than Nitrogen.

And fluorine requires only 1 electron to complete it's octet to get stable.. whereas,nitrogen don’t.Therefore Fluorine is more reactive and less stable than Nitrogen
