and


\sf \: x + x = 2x

Similarly


\sf \: m + m + m = 3m

The method is also known as property of addition in algebra

The m’s would all be the same number.Another way of adding the same number to each other would be to multiply that number by the number of times you want to add it to each other.

With m + m + m you are adding it 3 times.

So instead multiply m by 3:

The answer is 3m
