Explanation:

-2x+3=7 equation 1

3x+1=5+y equation 2

by eq 1

-2x=7-3

-2x=4

x=-2

put value of x in equation 2 to get value of y

3(-2)+1=5+y

-6+1=5+y

-5=5+y

-5-5=y

y=-10
