If the length of a rectangle is 12 times the width and the area is 48 square feet, what are the

dimensions?

Solution :-

Let the width be w and Length will be 12w

So,

Area = lw

48 = 12w × w

48/12 = w²

4 = w²

√4 = √w²

2 = 2

Length = 12(2) = 24 cm

Breadth = 2 cm
