(you can do the first two parts with the help of the third part)

2x-(3x+5)+2=5-14

2x-3x-5+2=5-14 (distribute the negative sign)
-1x-3=-9 (simplify equation by adding/subtracting)
-1x-3=-9 (add 3 on both sides)
-1x=-6 (divide both sides by negative 1)
x=6
