X = -1
So if you Plug that in to your problem it is shown as y=2(-1)+-2.
2•-1 is -2 and when added to -2 you answer is -4.
Y=-4

Answer:

y = - 4

Explanation:

Given

y = 2x + ( - 2) , that is

y = 2x - 2 ← substitute x = - 1

y = 2(- 1) - 2 = - 2 - 2 = - 4

This is confirmed by the point (- 1, - 4 ) on the graph
