Answer:

tbf i wouldnt get this if i read this for the first time

Explanation:

write numbers down

draw a branch to split the number into a prime and the number it needs to multiply to get to it

e.g. 156 can split into

/ \

2 78

kee.p splitting the number.s

78 = 2, 39

39 = 3, 13

now do the same for the second number

e.g. 188

/ \

2 94

94 = 2, 47

draw a venn diagram

put the numbe.rs in the correct locatio.n

a repe.at number e.g. 2, 2, 2, 2 now wo.uld be two 2s because they essential.ly cancel each other out

156 188

13, 3 2, 2 47

for gcf you would times the number in the centre

2 x 2 = 4

4 is the gcf

for lcm you would times everything in the venn diagram

13 x 3 x 2 x 2 x 47 = 7332

7332 is lcm

Can someone pls explain their own way of solving gcf and lcm I’m very stuck HELP!-example-1

Answer:

okeyy

Explanation:

Greatest Common Factor

- first list all the numbers that could be multiplied to the factors given.

30 = 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 15, & 30

24 = 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 & 24

- then you find the common number between them but the highest one (which is 6)

Least Common Multiple

- so we could say this is the opposite of the greatest common factor

3 = 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18

4 = 4, 8, 12, 16, 20

- in here i listed the multiples of 4 & 3 and got the least common between them (which is 12)
