use the midpoint formula of: (x1 + x2/2 , y1 + y2/2) in order to get (x,y) coordinates.

Let's call endpoint C x1 and y1. So 6=x1 and -1=y1.

This makes endpoint D x2 and y2. So -7=x2 and 8=y2.

Now plug it in and simplify!

x-coordinates: (6+-7)/2 = (6-7)/2 = -1/2 or -.5

y-coordinates: (-1+8)/2 = (8-1)/2 = 7/2 or 3.5

the midpoint of endpoints C and D is (-1/2, 7/2)
