On this day in 1775, the Revolutionary War began. This was also known as the “War of Independence.” The thirteen colonies fought for and won their independence from Great Britain. How do you think our lives today may be different if we hadn’t won this war? Please write 7 sentences.

If the Americans did not win the Revolutionary War, our lives would be completely different. We most likely would have continued to be taxed. We also would be treated horribly by the British government. Another big thing would have been slavery. Most European countries would rely on the US’s slavery for goods. Many top generals and supporters of the war, such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and many others, would have been executed for treason. Though all of this, the people would probably revolt against the government again.
