Since each calculator is an x amount of money, you’ll have to divide by “x” or in this case, $31.25. Now, we know how much money they’ve spent, that being $500, so it makes things fairly simple,

500 / 31.25 = 16 calculators.

Leaving us with the answer being 16 calculators.
