Explanation:

Mohammed age = x

Holly age = x + 3

Karen age = 2x

given,

$x + (x + 3) + 2x = 51 \\ x + x + 3 + 2x = 51 \\ 4x + 3 = 51 \\ 4x = 51 - 3 \\ 4x = 48 \\ x = 48 / 4 \\ = 12$
