The opposite of -1/3 is 3 so 3 is the slop
-1 = 3(1) + b
-1 - 3 = 3 - 3 + b
-4 = b

Answer:

y = 3x - 4

Explanation

If the line is perpendicular, then it means that the slope will be opposite. So if it's -1/3 then it will become 3.

y = 3x + b

-1 = 3(1) + b

-1 = 3 + b

-4 = b

The equation is y = 3x - 4
