What is the remainder of (x4 - 2x2 + x - 3) ÷ (x - 1)

Explanation:

First simplify the parentheses.
4x-2x^2+x-3=-2x^2+5x-3, and
x-1 can't be simplified, so the equation has now been simplified to
(-2x^2+5x-3)/(x-1). The equation can be divided to equal
-2x+3, so I'm guessing either there is no remainder or the 3 is the remainder.
