The time between midnight (12 am) to 11am is 11 hours.

Since it dropped 1.1 C every hour then it should be.

11 * 1.1 = amount of temperature dropped.

12.1 Temperature dropped in total.

Let’s make the ordinal temperature ‘x”

x - 12.1 = -16.1

Solve for x

Add 12.1 on both sides.

x= -4

So the temperature was -4 C at midnight.
