We know that line WJL is a straight line, so all angles formed on it add up to
\ang{180}.

We know that angle WJH is
\ang{18} and angle HJG is
\ang{90} (right angle), so that leaves angle GJL to be:


18 + 90 + GJL = 180


108 + GJL = 180


GJL = 72

Now we can solve for
x:


GJL = 9x = 72


9x = 72


x = (72)/(9)


x = 8
