50 POINTS: Please help thank you so much!! (Image attached) The polygons are similar. Find the values of the variables.

I know from the answer key that the answers are x=
3 \sqrt{10}310​
and y=
2 \sqrt{10}210​
but I'm not sure how to get there...​

Answer:

x = 3/5√10

y = 2√10

Explanation:

using the Pythagorean theorem:

y² = 7² - 3² = 49 - 9

y² = 40

y = 2√10

3/4.5 = y/5x

4.5y = 15x

substitute for y:

4.5(2√10) = 15x

15x = 9√10

divide both sides of the equation by 15:

x = (9√10)/15 = 3/5√10
