Answer:

100 percent is 50

80 percent is 40

83 percent is 41.5

Explanation:

So you do 50-41.5 which is 8.5

change 83 to 0.83
0.83 x 50 = 41.5
50-41.5 = 8.5
the learner lost 8.5 marks
