Make b the subject of the formula, a=the square root of b-a

Explanation:


a = √(b - a)

firstly square


√(b- a)

to get a-b on it's own

it's now


a = b - a

now plus the a to cancel out the minus a to get


a {}^(2) = b

which can also be written as


b = a {}^(2)

dont know if that makes sense as I'm not the best at trying to explain
