7x + 6y = 6

Explanation:

x - 2y = - 1..... (1)

8x + 4y = 5...(2)

Subtracting equation (1) from equation (2)

8x + 4y - ( x - 2y) = 5 - (-1)

8x + 4y - x + 2y = 5 + 1

8x - x + 4y + 2y = 6

7x + 6y = 6
