Help?? A floor is 6m long and 4m wide. A square carpet of sides 4m is laid on the floor.

Find the area of the floor that is not carpeted.

Answer:

the floor in all is 6mx4m giving you 24m

and the carpet would be 4mx4m giving you 16

so 24-16=8m
