returned. At the end of the week, she

store. How much did Lisa spend on
her second trip?

Answer:

$60.74 on the second trip.

Explanation:

Well we know that she spent $35.78 on the first trip.

We DON’T know how much she spent for the second trip so lets put it as “x” for unknown.

We know she spent a TOTAL of $96.52 for those two trips combined.

So we can make a simple equation

35.78+x=96.52

Now solve the equation.

Subtract 35.78 on both sides to isolate the X

35.78-35.78=0

96.52-35.78= 60.74

So if you plug everything in

0+x=60.74

0 is nothing so we can get rid of that

x=60.74
