A telephone call costs $0.15 for the first minute, plus $0.05 for each

additional minute. The total cost of the call was $1.30. This equation
can be used to find m, the length in minutes of the telephone call.
0.15 + 0.05(m - 1) = 1.30

Subtract .15 from both sides...
.05(m-1) = 1.15
Divide both sides by .05...
m-1 = 23
Add 1 to both sides...
m = 24
There’s your answer, the call was 24 minutes long
